The Autumn 2013 ‘SI-Road Show’

We are pleased to invite you to participate in The Autumn 2013 ‘SI-Road Show’ to be held from October 15 to November 02, 2013 in Russia and Ukraine.
The last Road Shows held in spring 2013 in Ukrainian and Russian cities turned out to be the ever-largest and most influential exhibition during 13 year history of SI Road Shows!
More than 40 exhibitors from around 10 countries including Canada, USA, Australia, Korea, Singapore, Switzerland, UK etc. presented their latest programmes, products to Fair visitors, establishing outstanding promotional and recruitment activities in our region.
Please note that in Vladivostok, Khabarovsk, Novosibirsk, Kazan, Ufa, Krasnodar, Rostov-on-Don will be conducted Mini-Fairs, which can be described as a format of presentations.
In Kiev Students International will run full educational fair.
Vladivostok is a port city on the Pacific coast of Russia, the main gate to Canada, USA, Australia and New Zealand, Japan, South Korea and other Asian and Pacific countries and consequently it has achieved significant commercial relations with the countries named earlier. The population of the city consists of more than 1 000 000 people. The most developed industries in the city are ship building, fish and sea food industry, civil engineering. Vladivostok exports ships, sea food, ferrous metals abroad. Nowadays Vladivostok is preparing for a significant event that will take place in 2012. The city will host APEC Summit with leaders of foreign countries. Also, there is a US Visa Consulate in the city. The SI office in Vladivostok is one of the first offices founded as a representative one of SI in the Far Eastern region. Moreover, the SI office in Vladivostok is an official IELTS testing centre in Russia.
Khabarovsk is often called "the capital city of Far East". It has the population of 600 000 people. The most developing industries in the city and in Khabarovsk region are chemical engineering, ship building. It is also a city through which Russia gets most of products and items imported from China. There is a big international airport in the city carrying out convenient flights, for instance, to Canada, USA, Australia and New Zealand via Seoul, Korea. There are more than 20 Universities in Khabarovsk. SI Khabarovsk office has been working more than 10 years. Moreover, the SI Khabarovsk office has been enlarged in staff number due to a growing number of students willing to study abroad. Traditionally, SI students from Khabarovsk sent for studies abroad assist in educational fairs sharing their great experience with potential students.
Novosibirsk is the third most populous city in Russia after Moscow and St. Petersburg and the most populous city in Asian Russia, with a population of 1,473,754. It is the administrative center of Novosibirsk Oblast as well as of the Siberian Federal District. The city is located in the southwestern part of Siberia on the banks of the Ob River. Novosibirsk is a large industrial center. The industrial complex consists of 214 large and average sized industrial enterprises. These produce more than two-thirds of all industrial output of the Novosibirsk region. Leading industries are airspace, nuclear fuel, turbo- and hydroelectric generators, textile machinery, agriculture machinery, electronics components and devices production, metallurgy and metal working. Akademgorodok is a suburb of Novosibirsk dedicated to science. It houses the Siberian division of the Russian Academy of Sciences and is the location of Novosibirsk State University. (All other higher education institutions are located in the central part of the city.)
Kazan is the capital and largest city of the Republic of Tatarstan, Russia. With a population of 1,143,535, it is the eighth most populous city in Russia. In April 2009, the Russian Patent Office granted Kazan the right to brand itself as the "Third Capital" of Russia. Kazan is one of the largest industrial and financial centers of Russia, and a leading city of the Volga economic region in construction and accumulated investment. City's Gross Regional Product had reached 380 billion rubles in 2011
Ufa is the capital of Bashkortostan republic. The city is considered as the biggest centre of petroleum process industry with the population of 1 million people. The government of Bashkortostan pursues an active educational policy and successfully grants with scholarships for studies abroad young university graduates or young specialists holding BA degrees for their further studies in MA programs.
Krasnodar is one of the biggest cities of the Southern Administrative Region in Russia with the population of more than 720 000 people. It is one of the main agricultural centres in Russia. There are many universities and polytechnic institutes in Krasnodar. As one of the attractive point, the close distance (2 hours by car) to Sochi can be equally considered. Sochi 2014 will host the next Winter Olympic Games after Vancouver 2010.
Rostov-on-Don is considered as the capital of the South of Russia with the population of more than 1 million people. In the city we have one of the oldest and one of the most experienced representative offices of SI. The staff of SI Rostov-on-Don has visited almost all the countries which are the main destinations for study abroad programs. Moreover, there is a British visa centre covering for South of Russia Also, there is an airport with both domestic and international flights carried out.
Kiev is the capital of the Ukraine with the population of more than 3 million people and is the biggest city of the country. For the first time in the history of Road Shows we’ll conduct the SI Educational Fair for two days in a row in the city. In Kiev we have the head office for Ukraine with a well-trained and experienced staff providing all other Ukrainian representatives with the support and assistance in students’ recruitment.

The exact cost of the domestic tickets will be announced once the tickets get issued. Please, be advised that the navigation between the cities will be carried out mostly by plane and one trip only will be carried by bus. The details with an approx cost in EURO are, as follows*:

You are more than welcome to represent your educational institution in the Mini Road Shows in each of the Russian cities / the Full Road Show in Ukraine, Kiev or you can optionally choose the most interesting city for you.
